I have not done a sketch challenge before but Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 36 did have me inspired to create this page on the left. I still had some Sarita Paper and embellishments left and they were a perfect fit for the photos. I don’t know if this is a good interpretation of the sketch but it got me going! I then went ahead and created the page on the right to compliment the first.

To stamp ‘TODAY I used Goldrush and Gyspy pigment inks. I inks the middle of the stamp with goldrush, then the edges in gypsy. Once I cut the image out I used a dauber and Gypsy ink to darken the very edges further. I sanded the lettering and the edge of the page. I used bonding memories glue for the wooden button. I love this glue – it gives you time before it ‘grabs’ and gives a firm stick when done. The tag is supported with 3D foam tape.

For the title here I put it down on scratch paper and daubed the top edge with Gypsy ink. This is how I have achieved the two tone look. I also attempted to emphasise the downunder with its placement, and the arrow.
