Almost 12 months ago (I seriously cannot believe it was that long ago) I was enjoying my second Tatse of Summer for the year on the oasis of Cancun. I knew the fresh and vibrant colours of this paper packet would be just right fro a couple of photos from my Booze Cruise Tequila party. Here is what I came up with using scraps of the Taste of Summer packet after doing 5 layouts and some cards following guides provided by CTMH! (Ask your consultant about the patterns for the layouts in the promotional material.) My point here is not only is this packet colourful, it goes a long way!

I have stamped the oranges and limes using pigment inks.

From here the two colours need to blend. Light over dark may mean your light ink will pick up the darker colour and vice versa. Take care if you do not wish to have colours mixing on your little ink pads.

I find these the best to get a nice blend of colours. Take care as you do this as cross contamination will occur – if you do not want your creme Brulee to turn green use a dauber to do this. I pat 2-3 colours onto the stamp. I stamped the image onto scrap white and then fussy cut. I always make more than I need as when I come to arrange them I prefer to have too much rather than not enough. I have used a variety of pigment inks to complete the fruit on the layout.

20150506_073334I stamped the glass with whisper and coloured it and the bottle with buttercup ink using secondary stamping. I used a heavy layer of liquid glass on each item to get a good rounded glassy look. If you are lucky you will also get a bubble in the right place.  I did these on spare cardstock and cut them out when they were perfectly dry. Liquid glass is good to cut!
